Jeff Walker. Ba (Hons) b.1962
Jeff Walker has been the Creative and Therapeutic Arts
Tutor at the Corn Loft Art Studio and Consultancy since
1994. He works with children and adults who have physical
or psychological special needs either on a one-to- one
basis or within a group. Prior to working at the Corn
Loft, Jeff worked as a metallurgical technician within
Scunthorpe Steelworks, leaving to study Art and Design.
After university he became a lecturer/ personal tutor,
internal moderator and for nine years worked at art
and design colleges and universities throughout the
South of England.
During that time Jeff also contributed articles for
various national and international Arts magazines, organised
Art Exhibitions, promoted local music, worked for the
Brighton International Arts Festival within marketing
and publicity and assisted with national and international
artists and the press for the Arts, theatre, music and
dance.
The lecturing included courses such as sculpture, fine
art, three-dimensional design, graphics and Textile
art (fibre art), including teaching visual studies,
visual dynamics and colour theory and art history.
The material range included using wood, metal, ceramics,
plastics, plaster and textiles.
Jeff’s own work has involved traditional drawing
and painting mediums such as oil paint and charcoal,
during the mid-80’s computer generated images
and installations were produced and exhibited internationally
assisted by the British Council. Over the past twenty
years his work has developed and moved on from the analytical/observational
still life/landscapes to more abstract/ non representational
images based on ideas related to graffiti/personal expression.
Jeffs work is exhibited locally, nationally and internationally

Jeff also has keen interests in the psychological,
therapeutic and creative processes involved in the making
of art. He has been supervised by Dr Alexander Burnfield
since 1994
Referrals are from Health care, the Children’s
Services, Social Services and Education authorities
and specialist private facilities throughout the region.
Jeff is married to Jo Green, a designer/maker who works
in the wood and metal.
Jo exhibits nationally and internationally. Living in
Wiltshire they have two children Jake and Kit.
